Third annual Mayor’s Cup soon

The Mayor’s Cup, a test of softball skills between the city’s firefighters and police officers, returns to Sand Springs May 18.
The best-of-three softball tournament is more than fun and games, though.
Money and food donated by spectators and gathered by the sparring teams will go to aid Sand Springs Community Services, said SSCS director Lisa Romine.
This year, the games are set for an evening start, at 6:30 p.m. The games will be played at River City Park’s softball field. Read the rest of this entry »
